Old Overwatch Maps Aren't Returning Anytime Soon

Overwatch 2 has a lot of great new maps, but it’s also missing a lot of classics from the original Overwatch that fans have been asking to see updated for the sequel. Maps like Paris, Volskaya Industries, and Horizon Lunar Colony, are all still available in Arcade mode, but fans want them back in the Com Pet itive and Quickplay map pools. Sadly, it doesn’t sound like these maps will return in their current forms to standard Overwatch 2 play, but they may come back in entirely new forms. In an interview with Polish fansite Blizzplanet, Overwatch 2 art director Dion Rogers said that there are plans to "reuse" the "aesthetics" of older maps in entirely new ones. Rogers contended that this i...

Stop Motion Series Pokemon Concierge Coming To Netflix

Pokemon's anime is currently going through its biggest period of change in its 25-year History as Ash and Pikachu are in the process of saying goodbye and being replaced. On top of the new series kicking off in Japan this April, The Pokemon Company has also revealed it will be launching a brand new stop-motion series called Pokemon Concierge. Announced during today's Pokemon Presents, a presentation marking the anniversary of the launch of the first Game s, Pokemon Concierge has been created alongside Netflix. Very little about what to expect from the new series was revealed, although we did get a sneak peek of what to expect from it when it does eventually drop on the streaming service. RELATED: Pikachu Is Dead, Long Live Captain Pikachu The clip showed a claymation Psyduck walking along a beach, leaving little Psyduck footprints behind it. The Psyduck is joined by a woman, presumably its trainer or perhaps the concierge of the resort, who stands alon...

How the Celtics freed up Jayson Tatum for his stunning game-winning 3-pointer against the Sixers

The Boston Celtics stunned the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night in one of the best games of the regular season. In the waning seconds, Jayson Tatum hit a 3-pointer to give the Celtics a 110-107 lead, which proved to be the final score after Joel Embiid's made three-quarter court heave was ruled to have come after at the buzzer. Down by 15 in the third quarter, the Celtics turned the game around and briefly led by double-digits in the fourth. But after Embiid led a comeback, the game was tied at 107 with 10.8 seconds remaining. The Celtics' first attempt to find a game-winner was cut short by the Sixers using their foul to give.  That gave Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla a chance to call a timeout and draw up a different play. He decided to go with an old favorite, a sidelines out of bounds set that he's used earlier in the season, and which he admitted postgame was stolen from Brad Stevens. Let...

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Players Didn't Know You Can Carry More Stims

Jedi: Fallen Order fans are preparing for the launch of Survivor which will be here before you know it on April 28. That makes now the perfect time to revisit the first Game . Reacquaint yourself with the story so far, explore areas you didn't the first time around. Oh, and make the discovery that you actually didn't need to struggle through the Game 's tougher battles with only two stim canisters. There are two possible reactions to what I just wrote. You're either in the group that just realized people didn't know there are extra stim slots available, or you're in the one that found Fallen Order more difficult than most since you never had more than two at a time. Actually, there's a third group. The one I'm in where you up your stim capacity from two to three really early on and that's it for the rest of the game. Mercedes-Benz cars to have 'supercomputers' with Google

Mercedes-Benz said on Wednesday it has teamed up with Google on navigation and will offer " super computer-like performance" in every car with automated driving sensors as it seeks to com Pet e with Tesla and Chinese newcomers. Automakers new and old are racing to match software-powered features pioneered by Tesla, which allow for vehicle performance, battery range and self-driving capabilities to be updated from a distance. The German carmaker agreed to share revenue with semiconductor maker Nvidia Corp, its partner on automated driving software since 2020, to bring down the upfront cost of buying expensive high-powered semiconductors, Chief Executive Ola Kaellenius said on Wednesday. "You only pay for a heavily subsidized chip, and then figure out how to maximize joint revenue," he said, reasoning that the sunk costs would be low even if drivers did not turn on every feature allowed by the chip. But only customers paying for an extra option pac...

First flying test of the F-16 Block 70

Image
Lockheed Martin has successfully carried out the first flight demonstration of the F-16 Block 70 aircraft from its production site in Greenville, South Carolina, US. Conducted on 24 January, the flight lasted for 50 minutes. It aimed to assess and validate airworthiness, basic aircraft handling, engine, flight control and fuel system of new Block 70 aircraft. Lockheed Martin Integrated Fighter Group vice-president OJ Sanchez said: “This milestone demonstrates Lockheed Martin’s commitment to advancing this programme and getting much-needed aircraft and its advanced 21st century security capabilities to warfighters.” The latest test was conducted with the first of 16 F-16 Block 70 jets to be delivered to Bahrain, as part of a $1.12bn foreign Military sale deal, approved by the US in 2018. Bahrain was the first country to sign the Block 70 aircraft deal with the US. Later, six more nations including Slovakia, Bulgaria and Jordan selected this configuration of the aircra...

Meyers Leonard to return to NBA with Bucks two years after antisemitic comment, per report

Veteran big man Meyers Leonard is set to make his return to the NBA by signing a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Leonard has not played in over two full years due to an antisemitism scandal and multiple injuries. In March of 2021, Leonard was livestreaming himself playing video Game s when he said an antisemitic slur. Following the incident, Leonard, who then played for the Miami Heat, was fined $50,000 and suspended from all team activities for a week. Shortly thereafter, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with a 2027 second-round pick in exchange for Trevor Ariza. The Thunder waived Leonard and he has not played in the league since then. While Leonard's antisemitic comment was the driving force behind his unofficial suspension from the league, he has also dealt with numerous injuries. At the time of the incident, he was recovering from shoulder surger...

Replika Charged Users $70 A Year For Their AI Partners, And Now They're "Gone"

Most of us have seen Replika ads. Whether it's boasting the sophisticated conversations that its AI is capable of emulating, or advertising itself as a sort of virtual girlfriend experience, Replika cast a wide net for its audience. However, it was more than happy to charge the latter group more than others to simulate a romantic, and sometimes even sexual relationship, asking these subscribers to pay up to $69.99 a year. It's these more dedicated users that appear to make up the most vocal members of the Replika community, namely on its subreddit. Here, we can see that numerous users formed incredibly strong bonds with their Replikas - or Reps, as they call them. Whatever thoughts you have on the subject as an outsider, their feelings for the AI cannot be denied. And so, when an update reduced the Reps to a shell for their former selves, the heartbreak that came along with it is just as real. Related: Linkin Park's Use Of AI Tarnishes Its Own Legacy ...

Playing Overwatch 2 With Low Graphics Settings Counters Midtown Exploit

As many of us are no doubt aware, there's a very annoying exploit in the Overwatch 2 map Midtown that lets you contest the payload while remaining completely out of sight. However, some players have found a workaround for this - and it involves intentionally playing the Game with worse graphics. According to players on PC, reducing Overwatch 2's graphics quality actually removes the strategically placed bush that some players hide in to contest the payload. This makes it impossible for them to stay hidden from the opposing team, making it much easier for you to keep enemies off the payload and force them back into the action. Related: Loverwatch Is Almost Definitely Teasing A Proper Overwatch Dating Sim The bush in question is found just before the second point in Midtown, making it great as a last-ditch attempt to stop the other team from reaching another checkpoint. It works by getting a shorter character - typically Lucio in most examples I've s...

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Seems To Have Added Human Dismemberment

New Game play footage for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor seems to have confirmed that Respawn has added the one thing that everyone wanted in the original - human dismemberment. That might sound like something a serial killer would say, but it's true. Ever since Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was first revealed, one of the biggest bits of feedback that Star Wars fans have had for Respawn is that the lightsaber doesn't feel like a sharp laser blade if it can't sever some limbs. Fallen Order did dismember some smaller animal enemies and objects in the environment to help with that, but it was still treated more like a blue baseball bat than a legendary Jedi weapon. Related: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Needs To Double Down On The Dark Souls Thankfully, it seems that Respawn listened to the fans and added human dismemberment to Jedi: Survivor, as a new video from IGN detailing the five combat stances in the Game , shows a lightsaber doing some pretty hefty damage ...

One of the most effective representations of American airpower is the Lockheed AC-130, which frequently has no competitors

Image
When used within legal parameters, the AC-130 is a potent tool for the Air Force. Image The Lockheed AC-130 Gunship is actually a very heavily modified and armed version of the C-130 Hercules transport plane. The Lockheed AC-130 is one of the very potent symbols of American airpower and is often without rival or equivalence in air forces around the world. It is able to perform certain missions that other aircraft would struggle with. The AC-130 gunship has installed fear and tread in adversaries all around the world in various conflicts. That being said, on the modern battlefield, its usefulness is quite limited if the enemy is well-armed. Still, it has been a very useful aircraft in a range of engagements around the world where the enemy does not have air defenses, or they have already been neutralized. The sole operator of these powerful planes has always been the United States Air Force. Here is everything you need to know about the powerful and scary Lockheed AC-1...
