Downbeat Leclerc explains why Ferrari need a 'miracle' to win in Australia

Image
Charles Leclerc has cast doubt on Ferrari being able to mount a surprise challenge for the Formula 1 race victory in Australia. Ferrari have so far failed to match the pace of runaway leaders Red Bull and, through a combination of poor reliability and race performance, find themselves fourth in the Constructors' Championship. This year's event in Melbourne is anticipated to be a stark contrast to twelve months ago, when Leclerc and Ferrari took victory and were firmly in contention for both championships. "For this year, we are not coming into this race in the same situation as we were last year. Clearly, our performance is not as good as last year," Leclerc told media. "I don't think there will be any miracles for this weekend." Viewed by others: FIA FIA forced to issue penalty remin...

Taylor Swift’s feud with her old record label has entered a new and messy public phase

Image
Taylor Swift’s ongoing feud with music executives Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta has entered a new and extremely dramatic phase. On Thursday night, Swift published an emotional plea on her social media accounts, claiming that Braun and Borchetta were blocking her from performing her old hits at the upcoming American Music Awards and in a previously unannounced Netflix documentary — and now Swift’s fans are doxxing Borchetta and Braun in retaliation. Swift’s public  feud with Braun and Borchetta began this summer when Borchetta, the founder of Swift’s old record label Big Machine Records, sold the label , and with it, Swift’s old master record ings to Scott Braun. The sale gave Braun ownership over all the record s Swift made prior to 2019’s Lover, and meant that any time someone wanted to license one of Swift’s old hits, they would have to go through Braun. For Swift, the sale was unacceptable. Braun was Kanye West’s manager when Kanye released his infamous “Famous” vide...

Ty Lue: Clippers got 'best-case scenario' for Paul George's recovery timeline

The Los Angeles Clippers nearly saw their championship hopes extinguished on Tuesday when star forward Paul George went down with what looked like a serious leg injury. With only around two weeks left in the regular season, any extended absence would have forced the Clippers into the postseason shorthanded, and given George's lengthy injury History , the odds of a setback or recurrence felt relatively high. But ultimately, George did not tear any li Game nts. He is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, but will be re-evaluated with a knee sprain in two-to-three weeks. As far as coach Ty Lue is concerned, the Clippers couldn't have asked for better news. "He's a little disappointed, as expected," Lue said before the Clippers defeated the Thunder in a rematch Thursday. "But I think we got the best case scenario as far as what we thought it could be. And so, being reevaluated in ...

Diablo 4's Repetitive Dungeons Are Apparently Intentional

Earlier this week, Diablo 4 players were giving their opinions on the recent beta that took place over the weekend, with a large number of them complaining about re Pet itive and predictable dungeon layouts. Many felt the dungeon boss would usually be in the same place, the starting location would be exactly the same each time, and that each layout followed a basic ring structure with differing dead ends. Well, it turns out that this was apparently an intentional design decision from Blizzard, as the developer stresses that this is purely a beta issue and that we'll see more differing layouts across the whole Game . In an interview with NME (thanks PC Game r), Game director Joe Shely has claimed that the re Pet itive dungeons are due to the beta taking place in the one location across the entirety of Diablo 4's open world. Archaeologists found two amulets made of lead. Researchers believe the inscriptions are incantations. Archaeologists are trying to decipher magical incantations engraved on small gold and silver scrolls that were discovered with human skeletons buried more than 2,000 years ago. “The alphabet is Greek, we know so far. The language is Aramaic – it’s a Middle Eastern mystery to us,” the chief archaeologist at the site in eastern Serbia, Miomir Korac, told Reuters. The skeletons were discovered at the foot of a large coal-fired power plant, where searches are being conducted before another unit of the plant is built on the site of an ancient Roman city. Last week, after carefully cleaning the soil from the bones, Korac’s team found two amulets made of lead – silver and gold – covered with symbols and writing. They believe the inscriptions are incantations, taken to the tombs to evoke pine powers regarding good or evil. “We read the names of some demons linked to the...

Studio Ghibli Park Guests Told To Stop Groping Underage Characters

The incidents, which are being described by authorities as "extremely unpleasant", have received widespread backlash in Japan, with officials telling these individuals to never return to the park. Many are also calling on the park to do more to curb inappropriate behaviour at the park, considering the family-friendly nature of Studio Ghibli films. The park is yet to roll out a plan to prevent this from happening on its grounds, so it remains to be seen if the attention of local authorities is enough to dissuade those snapping the lewd images.
