Saturday 4/8/23:

High pressure begins to take hold and keeps the lower levels dry. We will have some high cloud cover off and on through the day from the stalled out front well off the coast. No rain expected. Morning low around freezing rising to afternoon highs in the low 50’s with a light northwesterly breeze.

A “B+” Day!

Easter Sunday 4/9/23:

High pressure well entrenched with mostly clear skies and cool dry air. Another cool morning low around freezing, with afternoon highs rising to the low to mid 50’s with a light north-northeasterly breeze.

An “A” Day!

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards, not away from, thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst.

Debt ceiling breach could cut millions of jobs. Here's who would lose employment first

A debt default could cause nearly 8 million job cuts, Moody's Analytics said. As the U.S. hurtles closer to a default on its debt as early as next month, the economic consequences could prove devastating, especially for millions who stand to lose their jobs. Even a brief debt ceiling breach of about one week would slash 1.5 million jobs, raising the un employment rate from 3.4% to 5%, a Moody's Analytics report found in March. An extended breach of roughly two months would bring a massive wave of unemployment, cutting nearly 8 million jobs and pushing the unemployment rate to 7.8%, the report said. "​​The economic downturn that would ensue would be comparable to that suffered during the global financial crisis," Moody's Analytics warned of a prolonged debt ceiling breach.
